It's a Montessori Course for adults and there are no expectations for what you learn, you get to follow your interests and motivation. You might call it a course in the spiritual development of the adult as it is a journey inwards, looking at our own basic needs and coming at the question of what babies and children need from our own knowing of how we need to feel seen and held by others, or what happens when we are not.The focus is on the practical work of BEING PRESENT for anotherand how babies thrive when they are understood for who they are, as do we.

If you would like to join us on this next cycle you can find all of the information you needhere. I hope you can join us!The Basic Needs of Babies. There is also aself study versionfor those who wish to just explore the Prepared Environment without workshops.

Some of you may know that I started coming to Italy in 2010 to research the archives of the 0-3 Montessori work done by Adele Costa Gnocchi and I found Grazia and learned about how she had been asked by Costa Gnocchi to document all of their work and that she had over 30 books and 100s of articles published, books on sleep, on being Montessori grandparents, on the home environment, on humanity's cosmic task towards the environment, and on the Cosmic Task of the youngest child, the Alphabet of human work and the insatiable vagabond explorer. I was able to study with Grazia in 2012 and get a certificate for 0-3 and now I am working on publishing some first translations. The Cosmic Task of 0-3 article was just published in Italian for the first time where she speaks directly to our AMI 0-3 community about the history and the current practices as it evolved in her 70 years of work for the youngest child. She wrote the article for the Prague Congress where we presented her for the first time to the AMI community. She studied directly with Maria Montessori in 1951 in the last Italian 3-6 course in Rome, then did Anna Maria Maccheroni's music course, her sister was Maccheroni's assistant, and Grazia inherited her archives. Grazia's mother was a student of Costa Gnocchi's as a teenager, as well as a student under Montesano, Mario's father, when she studied special needs education in University, and Grazia's family lived a block away from Costa Gnocchi in the center of Rome. Grazia's mother-in-law was Eleonora Honegger, who started the Bergamo training with Mario Montessori and Grazzini. And, she was the first eductor in 0-3 at the Palazzo Taverna "Scuoletta" in 1949 after the first A to I course, she was the first newborn assistant, and worked with families and newborns for 3 years, she was the president of the Montessori Birth Center for 20 years and one of her last books is a full history of the development of 0-3, called "Da Solo, Io!"

Thank you for all you do for the littlest ones everyone, you make a difference.
